Nia

Jambo! Nairobi is where I grew up, and Powai, close to the lake, is where I live now.

Nia is the name, and I'm 26. Two years ago a call centre job brought me here. Night shifts, American customers, very bad coffee. I quit last year but kept the flat, because I can't give up my evening walk by the lake.

Travel is my favourite kind of booking. A weekend in Lonavala, a few days in Goa, or a Pune work trip where I wait at the hotel while you finish your meetings. On a trip I'm easy company. I pack light and I'm ready before you are. In town, dinner in Hiranandani is always nice.

Almost every day I'm at the gym near my building. My braids stay up in a bun most days, because the Mumbai heat is too much for me.

English and Swahili are my languages, and I have a little Hindi. A cold beer now and then, never a cigarette.
