My grandfather bought our flat in Colaba in 1958. I grew up in it, I still live in it, and it still smells of old books. That probably tells you most of what you need to know about me.

At 26 I've already had one career. I studied literature in Pune, came back, and worked in art galleries and publishing. I loved that work, but none of it paid the bills. This does, and I won't pretend otherwise. It gives me the life I want: books, good food, and the kind of evenings most jobs can't pay for.

I'm slow by nature, and a rushed meeting is not for me. My idea of a good evening is a walk, a long dinner, then a quiet hour together after.

A glass of good wine with dinner, yes. Cigarettes, never.

I'm mostly booked around Colaba, Malabar Hill and the South Mumbai hotels. For the right evening I'll come up to Andheri, Versova or Santacruz too.
