Six years in a beauty parlour near Thane station will do things to a girl. My eyeliner is sharp even on a lazy Sunday, and at every wedding I still check the bride's make-up.

I'm Simran, 28, from Thane West. The pay at the parlour was small and the hours were long, so I left. Now I post a "my day" story on Instagram every single day, and my friends never stop teasing me about it.

There is nothing fancy about me. I love my jewellery. The nose ring never comes off, and there is a small tattoo on my arm that my mother still doesn't know about. Please don't tell her.

I laugh a lot, and I like a man who laughs with me. A vada pav on the way, a movie, or an hour of sitting and talking, all fine. A drink is fine too, just no cigarettes for me.

Thane is home. Mulund, Ghatkopar and Vashi are close, and I come to Powai or Chembur too.
